I was born in and grew up in Luton. I always had a passion for art, and the desire to study further in this field after school. However, I was discouraged from doing this in favour of more academic subjects. I moved to Leeds in 1999 to study French & German at the University of Leeds, which I enjoyed. During my time at university and whilst living abroad I visited exhibitions, went to a pottery club, took life drawing classes and made drawing and painting work. When I finished my degree in languages, I knew that I wanted to be an artist. So, I applied for an Art Foundation course at Leeds College of Art & Design and the rest is history. I am now a practicing artist who makes and exhibits work, collaborates with other artists and delivers creative community projects.
